ABOUT US

Etz Cafe is the perfect combination of flavour, atmosphere and purpose. Located in the very center of Jerusalem, just a few minutes walk from Jaffa Gate, you will find a safe-haven of "slow-food" cuisine, designed to make you feel.

Etz Cafe is the result of a dream we had to find a unique platform on which community, social work and business could meet and grow together in mutual benefit. The Cafe, run by the organization Voice of Many Waters, functions as a non-profit business, with all profit being donated to projects helping the homeless and needy in and around Jerusalem.

We believe in a fresh perspective on long-term israeli favourites, fused with international touches and our very own Brazilian love. Drawing on a colourful variety of fresh seasonal produce, our dynamic menu presents a diversity that is sure to please everyone in your party, and since opening in 2013, we’ve received many excellent reviews from critics. We’re especially loved for our decadent breakfasts and array of uniquely crafted salads, along with a large selection of pastas and pizzas, all homemade from the finest ingredients. And then of course there’s our famous Chocolate Pizza...

Etz is the center for our humanitarian aid projects, serving as a constant generator of public awareness where we share our projects with the surrounding community. At the cafe, we provide free meals, clothing and other necessities for homeless men and women, and often receive donations of money, clothing and household items from customers who want to support our work. The cafe also serves as a creative hub with a unique display of art and handcrafted jewelry lining the walls. Along with the local regulars, we attract many internationals and students, and it is not unusual to see a table of tourists or businessmen sipping coffee alongside one of our homeless friends.

In everything, we strive to bring socials struggles down to a personal level, knowing that we cannot change the world alone, but we can help change one person’s world by simply looking beyond ourselves and providing help whenever we can.
